About the Photonics Institute
The Photonics Institute is the culmination of intense preparatory work spanning several years between NTU and the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton, along with support from various institutions such as A*STAR, DSO and EDB, in order to establish a world-leading centre in Singapore for photonics technology research.
The Centre for Optical Fiber Technology comprises of state-of-the-art equipment for realization of several kinds of optical and functional fibers, ranging from standard silica fibers to a variety of advanced specialty fibres.
The Centre for Micro- & Nano-Electronics (CMNE) is a key research centre established within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. It aims to advance scientific knowledge and spearhead innovative technologies in micro/nanoelectronics technologies for the benefit of humanity. CMNE focuses on conducting leading-edge R&D in micro/nanoelectronics materials and devices for next-generation integrated circuits and systems. Our faulty members, research staff and graduate students are actively involved in inter-disciplinary R&D and engaging universities, research institutes and industries to create impactful solutions in electronic materials, devices and system integration technologies.

About National Semiconductor Translation and Innovation Centre (NSTIC)
To visit A*Star semiconductor clean room, will be window tour to look through the clean room tools, which will include advanced lithography modules, metrology tools, inspection tools, bonding tools etc. Participants will also look at 12in glass wafer with patterning.
